As a mom over the last 20 years, I have seen a range of educational experiences through my children's eyes. In the past decade, we have seen technological advances change the way we all live and work. Yet while society and industries have been irreversibly altered, our schools continue to function in outdated structures and instructional models that no longer serve our children or our future. We have now reached the tipping point for radical and rapid change -- the time for baby steps is over. Let's look through the windshield--not the rearview mirror--to re-imagine our children's learning experiences and better align our schools with the new world order. It's time for parents to actively engage with educators on how to ensure our children's future happiness and success. Let's help students become architects of their own learning and organize our schools to inspire discovery, spark curiosity, fuel dreams and ignite passions. Lake Forest, Illinois
